365: Trip To The Petting Zoo

We got very lucky on this visit to the petting zoo. A mother goat had delivered two kids 20 minutes before we arrived. She was still cleaning them up and hadn't yet got to herself. Here are some photos from our visit. It was very busy but you can't tell. I got lucky twice!

365: Time to Break Open a New Album

Here are two of my recent creations thanks to an online crop at Two Scrapbook Friends. The 'generations' layout was spurned on by a challenge to create something based on a bouquet of lavendar coloured flowers. The second challenge was to use circles. I broke out the Designing with Recipe Book for this challenge. The first layout in the book was all about circles. The layout took off from there - so easy!

365: Winter.....Spring?????

While the signs of spring are sprouting up around the yard, a dusting of snow near the end of winter reminds me that spring is not here. It's too early to put away the mitts, touques and scarves. But it is time to think about spring and plan about what new plants I might want to add to the garden this year.

February Flowers - A Tease Of Spring To Come

I love these little snowdrops. I look forward to their appearance every winter. The first sign of spring to come, along with the return of the robins. I tried to get a picture of a robin but the zoom on the camera isn't quite good enough. I'll keep trying.

365: Day ??? I have no idea!

Jane Hird-Ritter's Crop for Breast Cancer - I made the trek over to Vancouver, staying in Ladner at Shannon's most warm and welcoming home. We had a blast! At least I did. Here is a pic of Lois and Shannon at the crop. The two of them giggled and told secret stories. I sat next to Josie who I hadn't seen in two years! We had a great time catching up.

365: Day 39

I scared the heck out of dh the other day when I presented him with this package. He looked very startled. Then looked at me and said, "Did I miss Valentine's Day?". You could see panic written all over his face. He was ready to dash out to get me something. I put his fear to ease quickly. I found this sweet at a local market. I've heard so many wonderful comments about them. DH says it would be really easy to eat the whole package in one sitting....but he has great control.

A walk in a recent dusting of snow. Hopefully the last we'll see this winter. I'm sure I feel spring just around the corner!

365 - Day 22 - Goodbye Marmalade

After 2 months of eating toasted whole wheat bagels topped with marmalade for breakfast almost every single day, I'm finally sick of them.
